O-outtings " MOMS vs MOPS"

Today I went to a group called MOMS it's like MOPS, but not the same. You don't have to sign up to join, it's just a group of ladies meeting at a huge church and it's set up a lot like mops. I enjoyed it very much, but I do have to admit I felt more welcomed by the MOPS group I joined 2 weeks ago. I will keeping trying both out to see how they are. Both groups were talking about eating healthy. Which makes me laugh, because most people don't even know what truly eating healthy means. I was a little bit frustrated listening in on the speakers, but at least they each gave some valuable info that hopefully people will take to heart. One can't go wrong eating more fruits and veggies. I think where they do go wrong is thinking about eating low fat and non-fat...not good. Controlled fat is good. Butter, coconut oil, red palm oil, olive oil, and flax seed oil are good; everything else, not good. Each oil and fat should be used in a different way. Butter is great to heat up, olive oil is great is keep cold or room temp. Flax seed must be kept cold or room temp. Coconut oil is great to bake with. Red palm oil to great to saute with. Anyway, there is so much to learn about eating right and one of my favorite cook books that teaches what I believe and that is a good guideline is: Nourishing Traditions, by Sally Fallon. SO, yeah, that's my little spiel for the day! bye!
